Hyderabadis who want to go High! : Confluence Educational Services

Hyderabad, which used to be the City of Nawabs and Pearls now is looking forward to regaining that royal charm by earning greater currency abroad and sending it home. Interestingly, it has been found out through a survey that Hyderabad has the highest number of students intending to travel abroad to pursue higher education.

Higher Education abroad these days is not just an issue of prestige, it is also the quality one wishes to imbibe from the education system across the world. While we are not saying education abroad means the quality of education in India is low, it is only intended to bring awareness that there has to be a wise decision from the aspirant intending to go abroad for foreign education really learns something from the course of that particular international University.

With the evolution of Education trends, with the increasing numbers of Engineering Colleges, there is also an increase in the number of students not opting for engineering as well like Pharma, Law, Media and Communications, Textile Interior and Automobile designing etc.

With improvement in US economy and rupee getting more stable, along with the rapid enhancement of the Indian economic system, the demand of the Indian students going abroad for next level of education is incessantly on the rise. The growth in the number of students opting for foreign education is not only in the postgraduate segment but also in the undergraduate segment, which is growing steadily at around 17% annually.

Hyderabad due to its geographic advantage is by far one of the safest places to set up an industry. The budding and mature entrepreneurs would find it very useful to be able to understand the nuances if they went ahead to pursue international levels of perception towards businesses and their detailing.

Education is evolving and the cost of living is increasing. At this rate it is soon going to be very difficult to establish a point of differentiation that marks one student apart from the other. Hyderabad sees a bright International future for its natives.

Kolkata: City of Joy - Enabling people to Fly!

With improvement in US economy and rupee getting more stable, along with the rapid enhancement of the Indian economic system, the demand of the Indian students going abroad for next level of education is incessantly on the rise. The growth in the number of students opting for foreign education is not only in the postgraduate segment but also in the undergrad segment, which is growing steadily at around 17% annually. And the result showing that eight of the top 10 cities worldwide, which by percentage sent the most students to study in US on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math related programs during 2008-2012 out of the total F-1 visas granted are from India(a report by Brookings Institution), proves the same.

And one of the top eight cities include the city of joy, Kolkata, the third most populous metro city in India having the third highest purchasing power parity. 2570 out of 3881 students in this city who received F1 visas, travelled abroad for studies related to the above mentioned four fields of study. With mounting number of private schools offering international curriculum, students either wish to pursue their higher education from the IITs or go abroad to receive higher quality and standard of education. The rise in inclination towards foreign education can also be accounted to the online media reports, which show that even if IITs are the best in India, they are not even among the top 100 universities in global rankings. The poor infrastructure and food along with other facilities and fear of ragging in Indian universities also add to the cause.

With the inception of West Bengal University of Technology in 2000, most of the students are now opting to go for engineering after their completion of higher secondary education, with the belief that on-campus placements in these institutes will help them get into jobs easily rather than searching for one in traditional study of honours. Thus the students opt for honours, only from certain esteemed institutes such as Jadavpur University, Presidency College etc. As a result, the increasing competition in the field of engineering stirred the students to go abroad especially US, which is believed to be a land of opportunities for people with exceptional talent, to set themselves apart from the rest and give a boost to their career.

Thus, like every other metropolitan city in India, where students are considering education from abroad, students residing in the city of Kolkata on similar lines, desire to go overseas at some point of their study to get high quality education with higher commitments, superior curriculum and pedagogy, better infrastructure and greater diversity.
